Mission and Values
To operate exclusively as a college preparatory school of academic excellence for grades 7-12, preparing our students intellectually, physically, socially, and spiritually to be well-rounded citizens able to lead productive lives in a global society.
“Loyalty, Honor, Perseverance.”
Trinity-Byrnes Collegiate School serves the entire Pee Dee region and enrolls students who are motivated to make the most of the program offered. In addition to a rigorous academic curriculum, the school emphasizes a personalized approach to education, a strong sense of community, and multiple opportunities for students to develop their talents and leadership skills.
Students at Trinity-Byrnes Collegiate engage in service activities both as a requirement of graduation, and because it’s just the "TBCS way".
Examples of student-led service activities include:
- Annual Book Drive each February
- Harvest Hope Food Drive
- Operation Christmas Child
- Annual Builder’s Club winter Coat Drive
- Honor Societies service projects
- Tri-Hi-Y service projects
- Cancer Awareness visits to Palmetto Children’s Hospital
- Rotary International Christmas shopping
- Cystic Fibrosis Festival of Lights
- Relay for Life
- Children’s Miracle Network Radio-thon, with McLeod Regional Hospital
As delineated in our educational Mission Statement and School Philosophy, Trinity-Byrnes Collegiate School “seeks to foster a spirit of broad-mindedness and of tolerance, respect, and acceptance of persons of different creeds, cultures and races.”
We recognize that for our students to succeed in an increasingly global and diverse world, we must provide direct and tangible experiences that educate both our students and the Trinity-Byrnes community at large about the importance of diversity. We also recognize that as residents of the Pee Dee region our students and school community should understand the challenges and obstacles that many Pee Dee residents confront culturally, economically, and educationally.
Trinity-Byrnes Collegiate School aspires to offer educational opportunities to minority students. As a part of the School’s commitment to its diversity mission, in 2011 Trinity-Byrnes Collegiate School established an Office of Diversity led by a diversity coordinator who reports directly to the Head of School.
Our weekly assemblies are non-denominational and are a time of the week when we all get together, listen to the speaker, and center ourselves within the school that we adore.
The underlying mission and philosophy of our school focuses on preparing our students for a life of intellectual pursuit and critical inquiry. Through these efforts, Trinity-Byrnes Collegiate School seeks to foster a spirit of broad-mindedness and of tolerance, respect, and acceptance of persons of different creeds, cultures and races.
