Trinity-Byrnes Collegiate School is a not-for-profit organization operating without any local, state, or federal funding. Unfortunately, tuition alone does not cover the cost of a Trinity-Byrnes education. Our school is largely sustained by the good works and charitable gifts of its families and community.

Where do contributions to the Annual Fund go? 

Annual Fund revenue supports all operations of the school. This includes technology needs, classroom needs, supplies, and more. If you are so inclined, your Annual Fund gift can be designated for any of our academic departments, technology, teacher enhancements, etc. On the back of your Annual Fund card that you will receive in the mail, there is a place for you to designate your gift. (If you donate online, you can use the comment box to designate your gift.) Why do I need to give to the Annual Fund when I already pay tuition?

There is a $4,000 gap between the actual cost of educating one student and tuition/fees paid. In order to bridge that gap, we ask that parents, alumni, former parents and grandparents contribute to the Annual Fund. This keeps our tuition affordable and allows us to continue operating the premiere college preparatory school in the Pee Dee. 

I can’t make a large gift. How will my donation make a difference?

Parent and alumni participation are very important to our school; regardless of the size of your gift, showing that you support our faculty & staff with an Annual Fund gift makes a big impact! In addition, we can use our parent and alumni participation numbers to our advantage when applying for grants or marketing our school. When parents, alumni, and friends of our school continue to support the Annual Fund, we send a clear message that TBCS truly exemplifies Loyalty, Honor, and Perseverance. 

How can I make my Annual Fund gift?

Donations can be made by cash or check; contributions can be dropped off in person or mailed to 5001 Hoffmeyer Road, Darlington SC 29532.

What can I do to ensure our Annual Fund is a success?

  • Please make sure your gift is made before December 31, 2019.
  • Please check with your employer on a matching gift program. TBCS is a 501c3 entity and contributions are 100% tax deductible.
  • If you visit with other parents, alumni, or friends and they ask about the Annual Fund, please encourage them to call our office if they have questions or concerns. We want you to feel good about your gift and know that our school will put all donor dollars toward the good of the school.
