CAMWS Donates Grant to TBCS

The Classical Association of the Middle West and South (CAMWS) donated a Caristia grant to help support TBCS attendance at the National Junior League convention this summer.

On behalf of Trinity-Byrnes Collegiate School and the South Carolina Junior Classical League, we would like to thank the CAMWS for awarding us the Caristia Grant to help us fund our trip to the National Junior Classical League Convention held in July 2017. CAMWS is an organization for Classics (Latin and Greek) teachers of all levels who enjoy learning about the ancient world.  We cannot wait to attend this summer and now we are one step closer to being able to have a larger delegation attend! Thank you to Dr. Alwine, Assistant Professor, Department of Classics at College of Charleston, and Dr. Kale, Latin and Ancient Greek Coordinator for Interdisciplinary Programs at Wayland Academy for helping us through this process.” –Josiane Vero, Latin Teacher at TBCS
