Admission Process

admissions

Welcome to Trinity-Byrnes Collegiate School’s Admissions Office. We are pleased that you are interested in the opportunities available to your child at our school.

Our goal in the admissions process is to ensure a good fit for prospective students and their families, in support of our Mission to provide an excellent education for young people in our area..

The Process

Visits and Interviews

Each student is invited to shadow a current student for a full day or partial day. During the visit, the prospective student will accompany the current student to classes. Our admissions staff learns a great deal by receiving teacher feedback and by observing prospective students in group situations. The applicant can also help determine if Trinity-Byrnes Collegiate will be a good match.

Application and $50 Application Fee

The application can be downloaded, or a paper copy is included in the Admissions Packet, mailed upon request.

Confidential Recommendations From Current Teachers

These forms can be downloaded from the website or through a paper copy included in the admissions packet. Teachers provide us with great insight about individual students.

Transcripts or Report Cards

Once we receive your application and $50 application fee, we will request the official transcript from the student’s current school. Past performance is a strong indicator of future performance. Grades, absences, and teacher narratives all enable us to see how prospective students have performed in their past school.

Letter of Acceptance and Enrollment Contract

A letter of acceptance and a contract for enrollment will be issued to all prospective students who are offered admission. A $500 non-refundable tuition down payment and the enrollment contract must be received within two weeks of the contract offer date to secure a place in that class.

Wait List

Qualified students who are not initially offered contracts will have their names placed on a waiting list. Decisions are made on student qualification and readiness rather than length of time a candidate has been on the waitlist. Each time a place in the class becomes available, each child from the list will be reconsidered.

Statement of Non-Discrimination

Trinity-Byrnes Collegiate School admits students without discrimination based on gender, race, color, national or ethnic origin, or disability to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students of the organization. The School does not discriminate on the basis of gender, race, color, national and ethnic origin, disability in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and other organization-administered programs.
